Watson first came into prominence as a promising youthful golfer during his maiden roles in the Faulker State Community College and University of Georgia’s athletics teams. The golfer was pivotal in guiding his university to the Southern Eastern Conference title and turned professional at the age of 21.

Bubba Watson Childhood and Early Life
Budda was born in Bagdad, Florida on November 5th, 1978 to Molly Marie and Gerry Sr. Watson. He revealed an interest in the game of golf and gradually became so passionate about it.
Watson’s father encouraged him and ensured he had everything he needed to continue practicing the sport. The golfer attended Milton High School when he joined the golf team. He later joined Faulker State Community College and was a member of the All-American junior college team.
It was after this experience that Watson moved to the University of Georgia, which at the time were the defending NCAA champion. He immediately joined the University’s team and assisted them in winning the 2000 Southern Conference title.

Watson turned professional in 2001 and joined the Nationwide Tour. He played in the tier until 2005, ranking number 21 on the money list, which qualified him for the PGA Tour the following year.
The pro golfer joined the PGA Tour as a rookie in 2006 when he earned his first million dollars. Watson’s driving distance grew gradually longer, recoding 442 yards, the longest driver, at the WGC: Bridgestone Invitational, which was commonly dubbed as "Bubba Watson Masters shot."
