Brooks Koepka WITB: What’s In The Bag?

Brooks Koepka's full set of golf clubs (WITB) including Srixon driver and Cleveland wedges

Since winning the WM Phoenix Open last year, Brooks Koepka’s equipment setup has seen a significant shift. The previous year, as a free agent, he had the freedom to play any clubs he desired. However, Brooks signed a contract with Cleveland-Srixon in November 2021 and officially joined the organization this year. The most obvious sign is a black, white, and red Srixon staff bag bearing his name.

Brooks Koepka WITB: Irons & Wedges

Srixon ZX7 irons remain in his bag, as they were at the WM Phoenix Open a year ago. Brooks started using these irons in January 2021, and based on his continued praise for their distinctive V-sole shapes, it seems unlikely he’ll switch soon.

Wedges: Cleveland RTX ZipCore Tour Rack Raw

Koepka mentioned in the WM Phoenix Open pre-tournament news conference that switching irons was one of the easiest transitions he’s ever made. Since signing with Cleveland, he has added more Cleveland-Srixon clubs to his collection, including the brand-new Cleveland RTX ZipCore Tour Rack Raw wedges. The key to getting comfortable was finding the right sole grind for his turf interaction, especially since he used Cleveland wedges in his childhood.

Brooks Koepka WITB: Driver & Ball

Driver: Srixon ZX7

Koepka features a new Srixon ZX7 driver at 10.75 degrees, paired with his trusted Mitsubishi Diamana D-Limited 70 TX shaft. It makes sense he kept the shaft despite the head change, as it matched previous specifications.

Golf Ball: Srixon Z-Star Prototype

However, Koepka seems most excited about the golf ball switch. He has been using a Srixon Z-Star prototype since November 2021. This ball provides greater height and stopping power with his irons, which is a distinct advantage on the PGA TOUR’s quicker and harder greens. Koepka notes that despite the increased height, the ball maintains remarkable stability in the wind.

Fairway Wood: TaylorMade M2 Tour 3HL

Koepka continues to rely on two long-standing clubs: a Nike Vapor Fly Pro 3-iron and a TaylorMade M2 Tour 3HL fairway wood. Additionally, he uses a Scotty Cameron Teryllium TNP2 putter, which is a new take on the T10 Select Newport 2 proto that brought him victories last year.
